This project represents perhaps one of the earliest moments when I realized design could do more than sell; instead, the notion of contributing to a cause resonated with me. It is also a design that I recognize the roots of my training: schemes and tropes.
Saint Mary’s University Chemistry Society (SMuCS)
Everyone has a “first” design. For me, it was an image for a fundraising campaign. Looking back, it is complicated when described as a logo. The process however was fraught with the realization that design is a collaborative experience: there are the designer’s and client’s perspectives, and give-and-take is part of the process.
